FreshBooks tops our invoicing software leaderboard with an overall score of 51, named in 47 of 70 AI answers. It's not running away with it, though: Zoho Invoice sits just two points behind at 49, showing up in 43 of 70 answers, and QuickBooks rounds out a tight top three at 45, named in 46 of 70. Wave follows close by at 43, while Square Invoices trails the leaders at 31. Scores swing a lot by assistant too - FreshBooks hits 74 with Gemini but only 35 with Perplexity. Out of 18 products tracked, the race up top is far from settled.
